The Egginton Bulls Head 12" Inch (30cm) Sharpening Steel features a fine grit, designed for knives that are only slightly worn, to straighten the edge. This super fine grit also serves as a great finishing tool, after using a more abrasive grit, to create a super fine cutting edge.
The knife's cutting edge can be kept sharp for a very long time with a sharpening steel with a fine cut until re grinding is required. With constant use, you can maintain the very fine knife cutting edge before you need to use a sharpening steel with more abrasion. It can also be followed with a polished steel.
The round rod shape is one of the easiest to use and is light in weight. This makes it ideal for beginners.
